Eastern Idaho Single Family Permits and Values
Trends 2016 - 2023
The number of commercial land transactions in Eastern Idaho are down 30 percent compared to the first half of 2022. However, even with fewer deals, 40 acres were sold and consideration totaled over $9 million. Total number of commercial permits are up by just half a percent, while total value of commercial permits are down by 33 percent compared to last year. On the residential side, total number of single family permits are down from 714 permits to 263 permits compared to the first half of 2022.
Multifamily development continues, with 322 apartment unit permits filed in Bannock and Bonneville counties, up 31 percent from the first half of 2022.
