EXPERIENCE
Jim Boyd joined TOK Commercial in 2012 as a member of our Investment brokerage team. Jim, a talented real estate professional with over 40 years of commercial brokerage experience, is a critical part of our company’s well respected and distinguished reputation in the marketplace. A graduate of Boise State University, Mr. Boyd’s ties to the local community run deep and strong. Jim also served 22 years, between the U.S. Army Reserve and the Idaho National Guard, retiring in 1997 at the rank of Lt. Colonel.
Jim’s extensive knowledge of commercial real estate provides all who work with him access to an unmatched skill set which encompasses market dynamics, sales, negotiation, marketing and transaction management expertise. A large number of Mr. Boyd’s clients have utilized his brokerage services for decades, a testament to the fact that his business relationships are built to last. A true professional, Jim’s integrity and expertise are hallmark traits of his business dealings.
Jim has represented several regional and national firms during his career, including Hewlett Packard, Tyson Foods, Cradlepoint, the Weyerhaeuser Company, and many Investment Clients. Jim began his career in 1979 and later founded the J.L. Boyd Company in 1994. In 2012, Jim merged with TOK Commercial. Mr. Boyd’s prior entrepreneurial ownership and management experience positions him well as he advises private and corporate investors, offering insight and advice for informed decision making.
