Ben Shalz joined Thornton Oliver Keller in 2006 as a property manager and brought with him an extensive background in financial
analysis, risk management, project management and customer relationships. In 2011, Ben was promoted to the position of Operations
Manager for the Property Management division of the company. In this role, Ben offers leadership to an impressive team of Property
Managers and Maintenance staff at Thornton Oliver Keller. Ben’s management team is highly regarded for their performance,
experience and ethics. With Ben’s guidance, the management team trives to create competitive advantages for their clients while
continually improving the performance of the properties under their management.
The property management experience that Ben possesses has afforded him a valuable skill set which includes building operations
and maintenance, tenant relations, contract management, lease administration, vendor negotitation and financial reporting. Ben’s
relentless focus on managing his portfolio to achieve his clients’ varied objectives makes him a valuable asset to any property or team
he manages. Ben is an innovative professional who is known as an effective, tough and diplomatic problem-solver.

Ben graduated with a B.S. in Management from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs in 1980. He also acquired an
M.S. in Logistics at the Air Force Institute of Technology in Dayton, Ohio in 1987 and completed his M.B.A. in Finance at the University
of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business in 2002.
Ben was awarded the prestigious Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM)
in 2008. He is also a member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). |

| Ben and his wife, Jennifer, have two daughters - Marisa and Sophia. They enjoy hiking and biking in the beautiful outdoors of Idaho. |
